Environmental Portraits with Ngim

I love to get out and go to a fun location to do some portraits. Ngim was asking me to take some photos of her in a field of flowers. She found the perfect spot in Orange County. We packed the car and headed there on a Sunday afternoon.

When we got there…no flowers!!! Apparently the bloom had already happened and the yellow flowers were all dying already. We decided to make the most of it and shoot anyway.

Ngim and I took some fun shots just to get comfortable. I tried to make her laugh as much as possible because I feel like those are the most natural looking photos. We found some interesting props around the area that we could shoot with, train tracks, old trailers, wooden fences, corrugated steel building, some flowers, and trees.

If you live in an area or are willing to travel to an area like this, I highly recommend doing your portraits outdoors. Check out some of the portrait locations I like to shoot at here.
